Design and finish of bar are both acceptable, my only complaint - which I have with most towel bars - is that the set screw that attaches the bar to the mounting plate is too small and weak. I had to be very careful when tightening the set screw not to strip the slot. Also, the molly lags were wimpy plastic ones, so I purchased heavier duty lags to provide more support.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
