Bell Push is solid brass and can be used with an existing doorbell system.

Note: Lighted Bell Pushes cannot accept more than 24 volts from a transformer, nor can they be used with a battery-powered bell.

The only problem I had was the bell did not consistently ring after initial installation. An adjustment needed to be done for a consistent ring. I really like the vintage look of this bell.
