i just want to inform you what a piece of crap this deadbolt is from Hamilton Decorative. The deadbolt cylinder, even on the second delivery is pure crap. the deadbolt is held in the cylinder by a tiny pin, if the deadbolt is moved at all it ends up sliding out of the cylinder, the pin falls out and then the deadbolt falls off. IF one is able to keep it all in place and installs it, the deadbolt is so loosey goosey in the cylinder that a minor turn makes it get caught up on the exterior plate and then causes the lock to get stuck trying to open until the deadbolt straightens out and will allow it to operate properly.

this deadbolt and its cylinder is garbage, trash, a piece of xxxx. the rest of it is very nice but NOT this very important part of the entire package. I would NOT recommend this product or any of Hamilton Decorative deadbolt sets to ANYBODY. i am now forced to go spend more money, by going to a locksmith and getting a GOOD deadbolt cylinder in hopes of substituting this crappy one for a good one.

This was a bit more $ than I wanted to spend, but I liked the shape. The finish is a bit pitted from the casting process and not perfect, so if you are going for a refined look this is not for you. The screws could be a bit longer. This would not be an easy installation for a novice to get flush to the door. It worked out well for our application.

If you have hallway doors in a modern home these pulls are very cool looking. Yeah...no more knobs sticking out into the hallway. Very difficult to install though. Came with no directions for installation either. I had to make my own template to figure out where to cut the door. I don't have a router but it would be much easier to install if you had a router for the cut outs.

We had a custom mahogany door built for our house in Northern Michigan. The HS hardware looked of equal quality to the other brands but more reasonably priced. Out builder didn't have any experience with it, so I was a little nervous about how it would be. It turned out to be fine. Expensive, but a better value than the others. We put matching hardware on the interior doors and its fine, too.

The installation was a long journey. I was unaware of the difference between mortise and drilled. So I ordered the wrong one. It was returned and my carpenter broke the thumb latch trying to install it. After three more tries the correct replacement part was sent. We hire a locksmith for the installation and had better results. The suppliers were wonderfully accomadating through all the tries to make it workable.

I bought a whole house full of these and installed them about one year ago. They are nice looking, but don't perform well. They are stiff and noisy, or they get so loose they hardly work. We've had to replace the working parts in one of the heavily used doors twice already.
I would not recommend them as long lasting alternatives to the better brands.

I was ordering for a new house and the appliance pull was to be delivered directly to my builder. therefore, i didn't see whether it matched my cabinet pulls until it was already installed. the online description of the item was very clear and accurate and it matched everything perfectly! the price was one of the best and i couldn't be any happier.
