The hinges were exactly what was looking for. The looked beautiful with the new door. Unfortunately the quality of the product wasn't there. The ball on the top of one of the hinges broke off and 2 of the screw heads broke off when I was tightening them down. Very poor quality.

Absolutely no quality control. The knob was not properly orientated in the vertical position. The backing plate was beat in to facilitate disfunctional operation of the latch mechanism. Parts were used that were not in tolerance for the applictaion. Just a terrible product. It does look good. It provided me with a few hours of tinkering in order to get it functioning properly. Thank God for the Dremel tool.

Product arrived in a beat up box that not been touch since the turn of the last century. Each plate was individually wrapped whichi was somewhat encouraging after seeing the box it arrived in. The satin nickel finish was inconsistent with burnish marks every which way, it looked like it still needed to go through a final polishing process before packaging. They appear to have been made overseas not in this country. They're not cheap and they're not very well made. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We just built a traditional home in a historical area 000and used the egg and dart knobsets in oil rubbed bronze throughout our home. We could not be more pleased. The quality is wonderful and they really make a nice statement. People regularly comment on how beautiful the doors look and they immediately ask, "where did you find these?". I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for quality hardware that is equally beautiful. In my opinion, it is well worth the investment.

I ordered these because I already had them. The screw is only one size. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some longer ones to go through drawer thicknesses. They don't supply any other length's for the knobs.

Manufacturer placed wrong instructions in box. Then charged me 25% restocking fee to exchange for correct parts. Beware of Nostalgic Warehouse. It cost me $140 in restocking fee!!!!!!!! WTF!

After one year this pushplate looks like it did the day it was delivered. Nice heavy piece, not like most thin cheep looking ones I saw in stores. This is one purchase you will be glad you made. Great investment looks expensive but the price can't be beat.

My wife and I have shoped for 3 years for old push plates and neverfound any. With the discovery of Knobs and Hardware web site we would still be looking. My wife decided she wanted brush nickel door handles to go on our antique oak doors. I was given the assignment to find them. I searched far and wide. Looked in many many hardware stores, Home Depots, and Loews in NYC are with no result. Even renovation stores didn't have the right size to fit these old doors. The sales person at Knobs and Hardware helped me find the right set. Called the manufacturer to make sure they were in stock and helped with the measuring so that the correct product was orderd. The door looks beautiful with its new set of handles and my wife is happy!!! Which means........ I'm happy!!!!

Beautiful and well constructed doorknob. But, difficult to install. The exact "tightness" of each knob and the separation on the center screw posts are critical to operation of the knob. Trial and error is seems to be the only way to achieve smooth operation and this is never mentioned in the instructions. Also, if you are picky like me, you may get the knob to operate with near perfect balance of friction and looseness of the knob, but then one of the two tightening bolts is on the top of the knob. In this case take the knob apart and slightly adjust the center rod by a quarter turn. Beautiful, but requires patience!

Tried to do it ourselves but ended up getting our contractor to do it. We're pretty handy but the parts didn't work well with our existing doors (house was built in 1951) so we had to order new parts. Played it safe and called in the pros for the remainder of the installation. Other than that they work and look great.

Extra long screws were shipped and had to be cut to size. The screw holes in the knobs were of varying sizes such that a number of knobs remain loose. Out of 64 knobs ordered, a few were cracked and could not be installed. These knobs were over-priced.

The ball-tip was a bit smaller than the ball on the ones I was replacing. Probably no one will notice but myself. The antique brass was perfect for what I was matching, the quality is excellent as noted by the carpenter who installed and delivery was exact as stated. I thought the hinges were a bit pricey, but it was the closest thing available and overall I am very satisfied.

I didn't receive any instructions with the push plate. It is beautiful and yes I would recommend the product. I did have a problem with the door I was using however. I was attaching this to a metal door rather than a wood door, and we had a bit of a hard time installing it with the screws provided. Had to use regular aluminum colored screws with threads all the way up to the head rather than the beautiful antique brass screws provided with the pushplate, which had threads maybe only 2/3 of the way up the screw. I will look for matching screws at the hardware store when I get there next time and we should be good to go.

I loved the price and quality. I would've liked the screw to be longer as I will need to buy a longer one from our hardware store here. The washer should be thicker as well. Otherwise, the crystal knob is perfect for the look I wanted.
